Leland Brown & Will Sibbald were both lovers of art and music. Will Sibbald worked as a tech writer then manager of Microsoft’s writers and editors. He also steered Microsoft’s art committee, selecting an amazing collection of paintings and sculpture for the company. Leland Brown worked for a prominent Seattle marketing and consulting firm. The couple later decided to retire in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains, in the small town of Westcliffe, which hosts CCJA’s annual sleepaway summer camp. Will became close with our staff during this time, helping us establish our programs in the community and enthusiastically attending our gatherings and performances. He and Leland graciously included us in their will, giving us the opportunity to keep supporting our musicians – both staff and students – across Colorado in the years to come.
