Other ways to stay connected... One of the key components of learning jazz is being able to regularly experience live music, and have access to jazz musicians. The Denver jazz scene is alive and well, and in case you want more ideas to help you stay connected, we have some suggestions...
- find out about events with your computer. Visit rockymountainjazz.com for a jazz calendar, and subscribe to their free weekly newsletter to stay up on the latest in the Denver jazz scene. You can also subscribe to the yahoo group jazzden. Also visit the websites of clubs such as dazzlejazz.com (they have jazz 7 nights a week!) and local universities. - listen to KUVO, our 24 hour jazz station (there are only a handful of these left in the country, and we have one right here!) Tune your dial to 89.3 FM or listen online at kuvo.org. The site also has an event calendar. - if you're in CCJA, talk to your musician mentors and find out where they're performing. Some of them have websites as well. - Check the news and events section of this website. Not only will you find CCJA events, but we will also list student's events and special faculty events. Just email us to have your event listed.
- stay in touch with local musicians with our Jazz Directory
